Description

Work your way from Gatton Creek Trail, across Gatton Creek and Wright Canyon Road as Resort Trail slowly winds its way northeast. Eventually the trail meets a junction with South Shore Road - be careful crossing here!

Once across the road, Resort Trail works its way easily towards the World's third largest Sitka Spruce by volume. You won't want to miss this attraction!

Flora & Fauna

Picea sitchensis, the Sitka Spruce, is the largest species of spruce - a coniferous evergreen tree. At the end of this trail you'll find the World's third largest Sitka Spruce (by volume) standing 191 feet tall, 17 feet in diameter, and 55' 7" in circumference!
