Description

An easy but enjoyable hike through an oak forest with the occasional loblolly pine grove. Northern terminus has a campground with lake views and a boat ramp. Trail is pleasant year round, but bug spray is a must in the warmer months.

Flora & Fauna

Mixed oak forest with some beautiful loblolly pine groves. A sign mentions bobcats, beavers, and raccoons but you're most likely to see song birds, squirrels, and, if you're out at dusk or dawn, the occasional white-tailed deer, opossum, or armadillo.
