Description

This trail starts off New State Road and heads eastward. It passes by New State Cemetery (on the right) and, in a short distance, enters Savoy Mountain State Forest. It passes by Shaker Trail (on the right), then by Carpenter Trail (on the left). From here, the Mahican-Mohawk Trail coincides with Sherman Road. Eventually, the road changes to a singletrack, and this is where Sherman Road ends.
