Description

Although the USFS lists this as a trail (primarily to encourage equestrian use), this is actually a forest service road with parking at the crest of Shenandoah Mountain where the Shenandoah Mountain Trail (447) crosses. Nevertheless, the road is a tough one, recommended only for high clearance, 4WD vehicles. Access is via private property, via a road that traverses an active cattle ranch. Note that where the road forks in the ranch, take the left prong. And close the gate when entering the National Forest lands.
