Description

From Rofen Hut, the route passes through many fields which are harvested for grass (so don't expect plentiful wildflowers, though some will be present). The trail gradually climbs along the north side of the Rofen River. Along the way, there is ample opportunity to view massive peaks and glaciers up-valley as well as many waterfalls.

At some points along the route, the trail can be steep and exposed as it passes through narrow gorges that the river has carved. At these locations, there are ropes to hold on to for safety.

This trail is a popular route for mountaineers looking to climb one of the large peaks that flank the valley.
