This trail starts from the Orange Trail just north of West Walnut Lane. The trail rolls along paralleling the Orange Trail the entire way. The first 0.1 mile is on the Orange Trail. Keep an eye out as you hike, as there are many access trails, trail crossings and even road crossings as you head north along the White Trail. There is a very steep hill (though it is short) about 1.8 miles along the trail (if you're heading north).

At the junction with the Orange Trail about 2.6 miles in, the trail begins to climb to the higher elevations in this valley. Wissahickon Creek will be visible for the majority of the trail when the trees are not leafed out (late fall through early spring). Unlike the Orange Trail which is a singletrack trail, White Trail is wide enough to hike two abreast for the vast majority of its length. A special feature is the Statue of Tedyuscung at mile 4.1. The trail ends at another junction with the Orange Trail and the Laveder Trail. I highly recommend adding the Lavender Trail to your hike as it follows a babbling brook back down to the Orange Trail which is a delightful highlight.
