This is a popular trail for mountain bikers, be alert as you hike.

Description

This is a nice 'in-town' singletrack trail. The trail is mostly packed dirt with an occasional out-cropping of rock.

The trailhead is second on the right after turning off of Mechem by the Smokey Bear Ranger Station, onto Cedar Creek Drive.

From the trailhead at the back of the parking area, veer left and cross the creek. Here you'll have the option of hiking the trail clockwise or counter-clockwise. There will be trail options toward the middle of the trail. If going clockwise, stay to the right. There will be a picnic area down on your left. This trail is also used by mountain-bikers. Dogs are allowed but not sure about leash requirements.

Flora & Fauna

Pine and Juniper trees. Mule deer and Elk are in the area.
