Description

This trail runs from the Vivian Lake Trailhead in the west, past Notch and Vivian Lakes, to a junction with the Diamond Creek Falls Trail #3598, about 1 mile southwest of the Salt Creek Falls Observation Site.

From the Vivian Lake Trailhead, it passes the Diamond Peak Tie Trail #4239 junction, Notch Lake, and the Mt. Yoran Trail #3683 junction all within the first mile. Past Notch Lake, it passes a junction with the Pinto Mountain Trail #3684 as it climbs gently to a saddle and then descends past several small, unnamed lakes before turning north past Vivian Lake.

Continuing its gradual descent north of Vivian Lake, the #3662 parallels Fall Creek along an impressive series of rapids and waterfalls, the largest of which—Fall Creek Falls—plunges over basalt cliffs more than 100 feet tall. It ends at a junction with the Diamond Creek Falls Trail #3598.
