This trail can be easily accessed via the parking area at the city park and can be used to the Veterans Home Pasture for a steady but easy climb. Alternatively, it can be accessed at the Veterans Home for a steady descent.

This trail sees high use from bikers, hikers, walkers, joggers, and people walking their dogs. If done as part of the entire clear creek trail experience, it will seem like a deceptively easy beginning to a network of trails that become progressively more technical.
