Description

Van Tassel Motorway is a 6.1-mile long road that is accessed from the staging area off Fish Canyon Road or from White Saddle on Sawpit Road #2N30. From the bottom, park along the road and hike past the equestrian area. The road crosses the canyon bottom then begins a relentless climb up the ridge with very little shade. The Fish Fire burned most of the area in 2016. Most of the route follows the SCE powerlines.
