Description

Formerly known as "Berry Mountain Trail," Horton's Hollar is now a single trail that forms a figure 8 loop with the Overmountain Victory Trail (OVT). The USACE has named this trail after Jim Horton, a Wilkes county native who has been the lead designer and builder of all trails at the facility. In spring 2016, a one-of-a-kind flyover bridge was completed at the intersection with the OVT, where Horton's Hollar travels underneath it.

There are approximately 100 bermed-turns on this trail (purpose built for mountain bikers -they're not so much fun for foot traffic).
