Description

The singletrack Madge Trail begins off the Rhyolite Park Paved Loop and quickly works its way to the mesa above. Once on top, it's easier to travel clockwise and enjoy the views as you keep climbing. At the southwest corner, the grade begins to gently head down to a sandy section of curvy trail before returning back along the edge. Hiking the mesa in the opposite direction involves a more challenging climb through the sandy section. For either route, when you return to the intersection where you started circling the mesa you can either head back down the way you came, or take the easier Quarry Mesa Access Road (an old truck road).

The same access road can be used as an easier climb to reach the top of the mesa too.
