“Trail 2-3 begins just north of Clear Lake Road and follows rolling terrain and a sweeping hill to the 3-4 connector.
”
There is one crossing of the gravel portion of Clear Lake Road, which is a moderately used County Road.
Description
Section 2-3 begins just north of Clear Lake Road at signpost 2, crosses Clear Lake Road and traverses rolling hardwood forest, climbing up to the base of the old fire tower. There is a bench at the top, and the foundation pads of the old tower are still present.
The trail then follows a sweeping downhill and finishes at signpost 3, where you can take the OHP 3 - 4 Connector to return to the trailhead, or continue on the OHP Trail 3 - 24 and the Big Pines area.
