Description

This trail has some uphill and downhill grades. The ecosystem changes from hammocks to dry and sandy with long leaf pine near the Gainesville-Hawthorne bike trail. There is easy access from the popular bike trail and off of Williston Road on the other end of this little park. This trail can get quite crowded with mountain bikers. Additionally, there are a number of fellow hikers in this park, so remember to be courteous and yield appropriately.

Flora & Fauna

Palmettos and hammocks transitioning to long leaf pine.
