Family Friendly Kids will love exploring the canyon bottom!

Matthiessen State Park is only open from dawn to dusk.

Swimming, wading, scrambling on the rocks, and possessing alcohol are all prohibited in Matthiessen State Park.

Description

The Interior Canyon Trail descends a cement staircase immediately after crossing the lower bridge. Once hikers have spiraled their way to the bottom, a wide canyon bottom waits to be explored. Cascade Falls is framed nicely beneath the center bridge at the end of the canyon.
