Description

Take Riverside Trail for a relaxing hike, run, or bike down to the Colorado River. To access this trail, park in the lot near the visitors' center.

Starting from the trailhead near the visitors' center on the flat ridge top, head down a wide path on loose gravel. The trail descends about 400 feet to the banks of the Colorado River. Keep an eye open for scurrying river otters, diving osprey, and soaring bald eagles as you follow the trail north along the river. Ancient fossilized oyster reefs outcrop long the trail as you climb back up through wooded oaks and junipers to the junction with Coyote Road. This is where Riverside Trail ends.

Flora & Fauna

There is potential to see river otters, osprey, and bald eagles.
