Family Friendly Though the trail gets more and more challenging as you go, it makes a nice family trip because you can always let grandma rest and pick her up on the way back. Fun for all ages and skills.

Description

This is a great family-friendly trail as it offers increasingly more technical aspects and makes for a great out and back hike. Bring your water shoes and plenty of drinking water. Like all tight canyons in this area, it is susceptible to flash floods so keep an eye on the weather. If there is a flash flood you'll have lots of areas to wait it out but hike at your own risk, not your family's. Unlike Jump Creek Falls, this canyon is for the most part, trash free and clean with the exception of a few boat pieces here and there. (Years ago some hillbillies tried to ride a motor boat down on a flash flood)

Getting there: Although I have personally driven a Toyota Yaris to the trailhead and back without damaging it, you may want something with a few more inches of clearance. It is doable but you must know your car and have good wheel placement at all times.
