Description

The White Pines Trail starts at the main parking area and connects to both the Gilbert Yager Trail and the River Trail, in addition to the Overlook Path, which offers a bench with views of the Rocky River below. The trail passes through a loblolly pine and mixed hardwood forest and it descends the steep bluffs that tower over the Rocky River.

Flora & Fauna

A unique mountain ecosystem exists in the Piedmont, including white pines and mountain laurel.
