Description

The trail starts at the end of CT - Segment 1 along the Platte River. The first quarter of the trail is the majority of the climbing you'll do. After that the trail flattens out for the most part, with a brief stretch of forested area that provides some shade. The final bit of the trail is mostly a flat open meadow where a recent fire burned off much of the trees. There is no water and little shade.

Started windy but that dropped early. Trail is mostly clear with some small, but very slippery patches. The final burn scar section had some mud 11.9mi — 4h 15m
