Description

The trail heads south from the AT Appalachian Trail and climbs steeply up the northern slope of Little Rocky Ridge. At the ridge line, a short spur leads east to the Sunset Rocks with great views south over the South Mountain highlands. The trail proceeds west along the narrow spine of the ridge in an open rock scramble before descending to Michaux Rd. The trail then proceeds west along the base of Big Hill and rejoins the AT Appalachian Trail just south of Tom's Run Shelter.

Beautiful trail, we did it as part of a loop connecting to the Appalachian trail on both ends while on a 1 night backpacking trip. Some rock climbing. 8mi — 11h 30m
