Description

Starting from Laurel Run Road, begin by descending at first on this blue-blazed trail. After the short descent, the trail becomes flat for a short while before the climb starts. From this point, the Bald Knob trail begins the long and occasionally steep climb to the top of Bald Knob.

At the top of Bald Knob the trail becomes very rocky. From Bald Knob, the trail traverses the top of the ridge, heading west back towards Shingletown Gap.

You can reach Shingletown Gap by continuing straight and down over the boulders or continue on Bald Knob Trail as it loops down off the ridge and down to Roaring Run.

Flora & Fauna

Corridors of blueberry bushes, sprinkles of wildflowers and emerald ferns
