Description

Following the blue-blazed circles, head left at the intersection with Avalanche Pass Trail. Follow the brook to an intersection with Lake Arnold Crossover. You'll either be in the brook or next to it for the majority of this trail.

After passing Lake Arnold Crossover, bear right for another 0.4 miles to Lake Arnold which is one of the highest bodies of water in the Adirondacks. After that, descend along another creek to Feldspar Lean-to.

The lean-to proves a great place to set up camp if you're looking to bag a bunch of peaks. Here are a few nearby: Marcy, Colden, Redfield, Gray etc. 0.1 miles after that you'll intersect with Opalescent River Trail.

This trail is rocky like much of this region, so please wear proper footwear!
