  • A Discover Pass is required at the trailhead, and the park is equipped with an automated pay station.
  • This trail is also open to mountain bikes from Sept. 15 to May 15. During those dates, be alert for riders descending at speed.

Description

Start to the southeast of the Mt. Constitution tower on a trail beside the cliff side. Start dropping immediately on a rocky somewhat exposed trail. You'll soon approach a couple great view points. A short time later you'll move out of the scrub bush and into a forest setting as the trail continues to drop and roll.

Skirt Summit Lake on your right, though you'll have to look closely to see it as it's a bit off the trail (watch for the short connector trail to your right). At the next intersection (with Cold Springs Trail) continue straight. At the next intersection you'll see continue straight as you climb to the peak of Little Summit and the parking lot.
