The trail starts at an entry on Scott Street where parking is provided. Skirting behind access to the Hill at Sims, the trail continues around the detention basin to reach the bridge before returning to the Scott Street entrance.

There are a number of attractions at the site, including a lookout at the top of the hill, a pavilion, a fishing pier and a number of public art works.
