Description
This short but scenic 0.5-mile hike climbs from Hotel San Cristóbal to the dramatic bluff of Mirador Punta Lobos, offering sweeping ocean views and a glimpse into the area's coastal history.
From the hotel's beachfront, follow the dirt road that winds gently up the north side of Punta Lobos. The path begins wide and sandy, passing fishermen's boats and the old fish camp area before narrowing into a rocky footpath. As you gain elevation, the views expand over the Pacific and the long crescent of Playa Punta Lobos below.
The trail steepens near the top, where the footing becomes rocky and uneven, but the climb is short. At the mirador (lookout), you'll find a flat, breezy perch at about 200 feet above sea level, with panoramic views of the coastline, the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, and Todos Santos to the north.
