This short trail, only accessible from the Red Trail loop at its far end, is a short spur up to a retired fire tower. The tower can be climbed up two steep flights (these are stairs but any steeper would be a ladder - some will want to descend them facing backwards - but sturdy with decent railings) to reveal a view out over the surrounding forest. There are some large flat rocks at the base often used for rest break / snack break.
