Description

This powerline ROW trail will eventually connect a pedestrian access gap in the Westpark Tollway at Gessner to the Brays Bayou Greenway.

The existing portion begins at Sands Point Drive, running due south to an at-grade crossing of Clarewood. At Bellaire, the route runs west to use the pedestrian crosswalk at Gessner to continue south.

The trail returns to the powerline ROW and continues with two at-grade crossings of neighborhood streets before reaching a mid-block crossing of Gessner just short of the trail end at Beechnut.

This is Segment 2 of the complete project. In the future, Segment 1 will reach the intersection of the Westpark Tollway and Gessner, while Segment 3 will connect to the Brays Bayou Greenway.
