Overview
Situated in the Colca Valley, approximately 100 miles (160 kilometers) northwest of Arequipa, the second-largest city in Peru. With a depth of around 10,725 feet (3,270 meters), it is more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the United States. Description
As you descend into the canyon, you'll be surrounded by towering cliffs and terraced farmland. The trail winds through the rugged terrain, and you may spot llamas and alpacas along the way.
