Description

The Chupadera Wilderness National Recreation Trail traverses a variety of ecosystems, starting near the riverine ecosystem of the Rio Grande Valley, extending through the high desert, and into to grasslands of the Polvadera/Chupadera mountain range.

Flora & Fauna

Watch for javalina on the first third of the trail and for deer and mountain goats as you approach Chupadera Mountain.
