Description
This is a moderate hike up mostly sandstone rock and some sandy wash. There are many dozens of small pools with standing water along the way. After a rainstorm, it could be possible for flowing water to connect the pools.
Parking is at the "Many Pools Trailhead" parking lot, where even on busy days there is are open spots because most people park there just to use the new, double pit toilet. The trailhead is not labeled by Zion NP as this is not an official park trail, but the parking lot is now clearly signed.
Park on the north side of the road near the pit toilets. There start are a couple of social trails to take you down about 30 feet to the beginning of the sandy wash. After that, hike up the slick rock inside the small valley, going past small pools of water. There are more pools towards the end of the hike, but turn around at any point after you have had your fill.
