This short trail, blazed mostly in orange, branches off the English Drive Trail (near the base of the Giant Steps) to wind up the Indian Head, a smaller hill within East Rock Park. The primary route is a moderate but steady uphill grade accomplished with switchbacks nearing the peak (although these can be skipped for those wishing a rigorous route up the side).

The summit provides views out over the city. There is an alternative path down that is shorter and steeper requiring sound footing.for a steep rocky section, and then an alternative exit to English Drive Trail more to the east.
