Need to Know

Hunting in this area in season. Small off-road parking area available; parking on the south side of the road at Bethany Veterans Memorial Park is very convenient but requires a permit. Parking is easier at the western end of Naugatuck Trail.

Description

This fairly short uphill blue/white blazed trail connects from Beacon Rd (Route 42) in Bethany up to the Naugatuck Trail through the Naugatuck Forest East Block. It serves as an alternate access for variety, or to provide a sort-of loop option to those starting at the western end of the Naugatuck Trail as a there-and-back hike (if willing to head a short distance along the road, or cut on the Naugatuck Forest East Utility Trail).
