Water may not be available at the camp. Springbrook Road is often closed due to slides, but access can be made via Pine Creek Road.

Start at Apple Tree Park off of Springbrook Road. It's a steep 1.9 kilometre descent involving 900 steps to Woonoongoora Walkers Camp. If you wish to do so you can overnight here. The camp has toilets and a water tank. Take note that water is not always available and must be filtered or boiled before consumption.

Bookings are required and can be made online. The cost is very reasonable at $7. Continue from Woonoongoora walkers camp and follow the signs marking the Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk. There are a couple of creek crossings along the way. It's about 5.5 Kilometers from the walkers camp to Numinbah Valley School of Arts.

It's not unusual to spot bandicoots, wallabies and multiple bird species.
