Description

If you survived the drive to the trailhead either by 4x4 or by extra hiking, you are in for a few spectacular views. The trail starts where the road gets too narrow to drive a full-size rig but you may still share it with motorcycles and or ATV riders for the first 1.5 miles. At that point, the old road ceases to exist and you are left with a very poorly maintained goat trail that goes almost straight up to the saddle and drops you off on your head on the other side. There is a lot of scrambling on both sides. The trail joins up with Kane-Summit Trail #4053 at an unmarked junction along the creek.
