The trail goes so far, then disappears because of neglect.

Description

The trail descends to the banks of Wells River, then turns right and runs along the edge of the hill. It follows faded blazes through this section. It passes through an area of broken bog bridges and horsetails, before coming out into open meadow.

The path is supposed to re-connect with the Cross VT Trail, but it is almost impossible to find. If you intend to push through the tall grass of the meadow, be sure to check for ticks.

Flora & Fauna

Flora: Horsetails.
Fauna: Yellow Warbler.
