Description

This green-blazed trail branches off the main Red Trail and then zigzags a few times heading south, then east, then southeast, then northeast into a short but steep climb to join the Blue Trail which then loops back towards the rest of the park. Mostly the Green Trail is the usual forest hiking typical of the park. However the final segment is broader and semi-maintained (it appears to be a portion of a utility right-of-way). If taking the green/blue loop clockwise, be careful not to miss the turn from the utility tract back into the forest; it is easy to be confused as the straight utility tract continues (un-blazed) in the southwest direction until it comes out in a residential neighborhood (presumably Rabbit Rock Road, although we turned around once we realized this was not official trail).
