This trail is inaccessible (from Camp Merrowvista) during their active summer programs. Trail maintenance north of the shelter is poor; the summit of Mount Flagg may be inaccessible due to this.

Need to Know

While there are shelters, it's unclear if overnight camping is permitted. Fires are not allowed anywhere on the properties or at the shelters.

Description

This trail branches off a dirt road, at the end of the camper cabins. Follow the yellow blazes from the trail sign. It crosses over Bodge Brook, then turns left (at a cable gate). It passes by Dave Green Trail (on the right), and continues along the road grade. The trail arcs slightly, as it approaches the Canaan Mountain Shelter. The trail maintenance and blazing becomes poorer, here. It's unclear how this affects the rest of the trail up to the summit of Mount Flagg.
