There is a gate that closes at 7:00 P.M. at the main parking area. If you arrive after the gate closes, you can follow the road up to the trailhead. This will add a total of two miles round trip to the hike. They promptly close the gate and lock it. Do not park past the gate if you aren't sure if you'll be out by 7:00 P.M.

There is a $5.00 parking fee (cash or card) which is waived if you have an Alaska State Parks parking pass.
Description
Gold Cord Lake is a 1.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Palmer, Alaska that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
