Need to Know

The large parking lot is located at 995 McCloskey Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311. There are bathrooms available at the parking lot.

Description

Easy trail with small elevation changes. Very sandy in some areas. Trail is multi-use, so you'll encounter hikers, runners, bikers, and people on horseback. There are benches every so often to provide a place to stop. There are several other trails throughout the park so you can tailor the length of your journey.

The trail is well marked and there is a map and information at the trailhead. You can download a map and learn more about Carvers Creek State Park here: ncparks.gov/carvers-creek-s…

Flora & Fauna

The park hosts native grasses, wildflowers, longleaf pine, mixed pine and hardwoods. Open meadows provide opportunities to see birds and insects. Fox squirrels and a variety of woodpeckers, including the federally endangered red-cockaded woodpecker are common throughout wooded areas of the park
