Need to Know

This trail is well blazed and each junction with other trails feature painted signposts.

Description

This trail begins just north of the picnic area on the north side of the main parking lot for the beach. Just as the trail begins, it moves through a large area of wetlands including a small, cute bridge. This area is great for birding and wildlife watching.

It then continues as it transitions into a more wooded area. Here it climbs a bit, passing multiple stone walls and providing a few glimpses of Bride Brook to the east. Soon the trail reaches a junction with Blue Trail and turns sharply south. This section of the trail is similar to previous sections being wooded and featuring some stone walls.

As the trail nears its end some views of rock formations and the Four Mile River are available. The trail then double tracks with Blue Trail before splitting off and ending at a park road.

Flora & Fauna

Near the trail's beginning, it passes through an area of wetlands that provides great views of birds including ospreys, ducks, and bald eagles.
