Description

Great Divide Trail - Section D (Field to Saskatchewan Crossing) Alternate Route.

This Alternate Route bypasses a logging road stretch, by taking a high, scenic ridge hiking route. This Alternate leaves the main GDT at Amiskwis Pass, heads up past Amiskwis Lodge, and then onto the high ridge where it remains for most of the rest of its 5 miles. Cross-country travel on the high ridge. Route finding and some light bush-wacking skills are needed.

Please see the resources listed above under Need to Know for up to date detailed descriptions and valuable information.
