Description

This trail is one of the predominant features in the Braemore Preserve. As a bridle trail, this trail is mainly meant for horseback riding, but it is also open to hikers. This trail is relatively wide and has inclines of only moderate grade. It is blazed yellow and is well blazes throughout.

This trail starts at the parking area for the Braemore Preserve. It doubletracks for a while with the Lone Pine Trail before turning off on its own. It continues up a few rocky, but not steep, inclines. The trail goes onto the gravel, Crooked Hill Road. It follows the road for most of its length. After coming off the road, it once again doubletracks with the Lone Pine Trail. The western terminus of this trail is located in the Rockland Preserve where it connects with the (foot travel only) Mattabesett Trail.
