Description

Spruce and fir trees, interspersed with small hardwood stands, cover much of the preserve. The trail can be hiked in a loop but the latter part has some steep areas with more difficult trail.

At the middle of the loop are two spur trails that lead to a beautiful rocky northern shore of the Basin.

Parking area at Wharf Quarry Road.
