Description

The Orange Trail is a short portion of the trail network through the Lake Proctor Wilderness Area, providing an alternate route to the Red Trail that offers views of the lake. The trail leaves the Red Trail shortly after leaving the parking lot, continuing west when the Red Trail turns north. The southern portion of the trail leads through pine woods on its way to the lake shore.

At the far western point the trail turns north and east following the lake shore back to the Red Trail. The trail is mostly singletrack and generally firm, although being close to the lake it can be muddy or flooded in places when the water level is high.
