The trail is also shared with bikers and equestrians, so be aware of what is going on around you.

The Sky Trail provides a nice hike through the woods that allows you to create a loop with the Valley View Trail. The trail starts at the junction with the Valley View Trail close to the Santa Rosa Trail junction. The trail climbs uphill a steeply for about one tenth of a mile, and then it levels off for a very short distance. The trail is shaded by trees on either side of the trail, and you may notice some unofficial mountain biking trails that cut through the preserve.

The trail then begins to descend gently at first, and then more steeply as it approaches the junction with the Valley View Trail on the other side of the hill. You can get glimpses of the mountains and Silicon Valley from the trail as you approach the junction. From here, you can make your way down Valley View Trail, or you can follow the the trail to the right and work your way back to where you started.
