This trail is fairly easy and is blazed a bright purple. It begins at the eponymous covered bridge and continues into the forest. Very briefly it shares a track with the red-blazed Ridge Trail. This part of the trail is especially easy as it rolls up and down slightly.

Here there are multiple places where rocks have been placed as small stairs. Here there are great views of the brook and the surrounding picnic area. The trail continues until it meets two small unblazed connectors that lead to the main road through the park.

After this, the trail does become admittedly more difficult. It continues deeper into the woods and climbs a bit. After this ascent, the trail leads back to the road where a trail sign marks the southern terminus.
