There are several access points to the water where it appears boaters come to picnic. One is surprised to find a vault toilet in the middle of the park. The trail continues though an old orchard and culminates with a nice view of the lake after passing through another dark fir tree grove.
There are two small loops that add variety to this short hike through nature.
