”
Family Friendly
Numerous playgrounds along the trail.
Description
This trail begins at S. Willow Place and runs north between houses to Coal Creek. Skirting the west and north sides of the detention pond, the trail then runs east to S. Elwood Avenue. This portion of the trail is relatively narrow asphalt.
The crossing of S. Elwood Avenue has not been completed. There is a gravel road that can be used to cross in wet conditions. The crossing is unmarked; use proper caution when crossing S. Elwood Avenue.
East of S. Elwood Avenue, the trail is newer and wider asphalt. A creek crossing is made at S. 117th St., and the trail then continues east along the powerline right of way to end just shy of S. Elm St. Lighting is provided. There are two at-grade street crossings in this segment at Nandina and at Juniper.
