To access the parking area, drive to the top of Jimtown Road and take a right. In a short distance just before the gate, turn left to a small parking area. The trail leaves the parking area and follows along the high banks of the Moose Brook Canyon.

Unfortunately, the views of the reservoir are obscured. As you climb the hill, pay attention for the orange flagging; the trail turns left here. Continue following the red triangle blazes until you come out at the top of Jimtown Road, right near the town forest sign.
