Description

This trail runs along a steep red wooded ravine with a creek that flows through it. There are a lot of neat bridge crossings and the trail runs along the spring-fed creek, which has year-round water and beautiful falls! You must hop over rocks and water to continue your hike/run up through a decent second growth redwood trees mixed with oak and bay, one of the only forests left in Oakland. Once at the top it connects to the McDonell trail and you can either continue up or follow the fire road down to the beginning.
